What it does
Adds a list of live UK public-sector tender opportunities to any page, post or widget. Each entry shows the contract title, the buying organisation, the published value and the days remaining to bid.
Notices come from Find a Tender and Contracts Finder, published under the Open Government Licence v3.0. You can rank them against your own keywords, and set a minimum contract value so only the opportunities worth your time appear.
Who it is for
Sites whose readers bid for public contracts — trade associations, chambers of commerce, bid consultancies, procurement advisers and business-support sites.
If your audience wins work from councils, NHS trusts, schools or government departments, this gives them a reason to visit regularly.
How to use it

Privacy
The plugin collects nothing about you or your visitors.
- It stores two settings in your own database, plus a cached copy of the public tender list so pages load quickly.
- It makes one server-side request to fetch that list. Nothing about your site, its users or its visitors is sent with it.
- It sets no cookies, loads no third-party scripts, and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking.
- Deleting the plugin removes everything it stored.
Suggested wording for your own privacy policy is registered under Settings → Privacy in WordPress.
Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. The plugin is free and works on its own — no sign-up, no API key, no paid tier. No attribution link appears on your site unless you choose to switch it on.
Will it slow my site down?
No. The tender list is cached for six hours, and the last working copy is kept for up to seven days so your pages keep working during a brief outage.
Does it work in the block editor and widgets?
Yes — use a Shortcode block, or the shortcode in a text widget. It also works in page builders that accept shortcodes.
Does it work on multisite?
Yes. Settings are per-site, and deleting the plugin clears every site's data.
Requirements
- WordPress 5.8 or later
- PHP 7.4 or later
- No account, no API key, no paid tier
About this plugin
Tendersift is developed and maintained by Manuel Greenwood. It reads a public tender feed published at tenderai.uk, which he also operates. The plugin is free and released so any WordPress site can show live public-sector opportunities.
It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the UK Government, or to any other tender platform. "Find a Tender" and "Contracts Finder" are UK Government services, and the notices belong to the buyers who published them.
